This book is a Murphy’s law example.. Anything that can go wrong goes absolutely worse.
I profoundly disliked Marcus, these people actually exist, he generated a visceral response in me, well done Beth! All characters in this book will create some real feeling, and that is not that easy to do. They felt like someone I know telling me what happened.
Let’s not forget the joys of a road trip, 5 people in a small car, all those limbs in need of space, the preparations, the snacks, the “someone needs a toilet”, just brilliant, now I want to go on a road trip.
