I will say, I was kinda of guard by this. I have heard that the manga is quite different to the anime and I understand why. The art-style is a bit more gritier, which I really do like.  Mame in particular caught me off guard, as he was illustrated as a young man more-often than his chibi self, wherein in the anime, he is always small. I was also surprised that, though i might misremember, that Tamao and Yakumo (cat and afro-guy) were the ones harrassing Haruaki. I also feel like it might be a little more vulgar, seeing as Mame originally used their enlagered ballsack to transform instead of a plastic bag. I also feel like a lot of scenes just play out differently in the manga than the anime, so i kinda have to let it go. So, this volume. I must say, it is a little rough. I know that Haruaki is a bit of a loser, but he was basically Sano's punching bag for the entire volume. And if not Sano's, he was Hijita's, or Zashiki. I figure that it just takes some time for things to settle a bit more and Haruaki not becoming a punching bag. I am also surprised at how quickly his powers are reveleaded, because somehow, I assumed it would take longer??? Overall, I had a good time, but I really needed some adjusting and that was kinda difficult. I think things will be better once I get further into the series and the anime becomes more unfamiliar to me.
