Certainly lyrical. The language usually works, but sometimes is a bit heavy handed. The Jakob section is overall better than the Ben section, but I think the Ben section does a good job tying together the weather metaphors. Unfortunate that both men have female partners written so utterly to please them—though some of that writing was lovely.
