Such a great 52nd book to finish off my goal for the year! My dad gave this to me for my birthday and I just had time to read it. 

A great, ambitious yet focused novel about a woman growing up in a rural village in Ireland. Proletarian coming of age feminist love story- all things I like! 

Learned a lot as well. Makes me want to visit Iceland!
