Once Upon a Broken Heart was good, but The Ballad of Never After was great. I can’t wait for A Curse for True Love, although I’m stressing about waiting more than six months!

Jacks is such a prick, but I love him!  You can tell he loves Evangeline, but knows that he is not good for her. You can feel the pain in the way he treats her, trying to push her away.

But, goodness, the banter is marvelous!

“Where were you?”
“I was killing innocent maidens and kicking puppies.”
“Jacks, that’s not funny.”

Sorry, Evangeline, but you’re wrong. That was absolutely hilarious, as is pretty much everything that comes out of Jacks’ mouth.

Not only Jacks, but Evangeline’s chemistry with all the boys.  Luke is also hilarious, but the chemistry is more friendly than steamy.

Also, can’t stand Apollo, never could. Definitely hate him in this book and dreading the confrontation in the next.  The cliffhanger this left off on was brutal, but definitely leaves you gripping on for dear life.
