Off the Grid
by K. Bromberg
I have mixed feelings about this book. There were moments I liked and moments I didn’t care for. I think because I’m not a racing fan in real life, that hindered my experience. While I liked that the book showed racing moments, it didn’t sway me at becoming a fan.
I love the banter between Camilla and Riggs and you could feel the spark between them. I LOVED Riggs protectiveness over Camilla but his asshole moments would overshadow that. He was a little too cocky for me and there wasn’t much redemption there. I liked Camilla and thought she was a good FMC. I do wish we got to see more of their relationship bloom as a lot of that happened off page.
I listened to the audiobook and thought it was excellent. Shane East and Carly Robbins did a great job at bringing these characters to life. The only thing I would have liked better is if they intertwined between their chapters and not just have Carly do Camilla chapters and Shane do Riggs chapters.
