Kingdom of Villains
by Ella Fields
An open door, warring royalty to lovers, romance that felt especially satisfying because this is a standalone with no cliffhanger. (I have been so frustrated with myself lately when I stumble upon a new book I really love, only to find out the series isn't complete, and won't be for some time.) Fia, the FMC, is so pure and good even when those who have been around her her entire life are total trash and only want to use her/see her dead. Her uncle/father the Seelie king is a disgusting pos with no regard for anyone but himself. So when Fia releases the Unseelie prince (who shifts into a dragon) from their dungeon, her entire life changes when she narrowly escapes execution for treason and is taken to the Unseelie kingdom to marry the prince. For those who love romantasy standalones, and are looking for a HEA, you will find it here.
