Bobbi is in the middle of planning her best friend’s dream wedding. What she could really do without are the odd occurrences that seem to be working against her, and even more so, she could do without having to work with the one man she despises, Benjamin “Bunty” Padda.

Benjamin put his foot in his mouth last time they met and ever since it’s been a battle of words and insults. He has enough on his plate with his own business and refereeing family quarrels to be dragged into wedding planning.

Nisha Sharma is a Queen and I am obsessed with this If Shakespeare was an Auntie series. It has been flawless and that’s it.

Much Ado About Nothing is probably the first story(/play) that centred romance I ever read (thank you GCSE English) and I haven’t looked back since.

Tastes Like Shakkar is the ultimate Much Ado About Nothing re-imagining. There are so many beautiful touch points that genuinely had me kicking and screaming and there was a part so perfect I had to put down the book and dig out the 1993 film. A classic.

Sharma writes characters with depth, characters you feel deep in you and relate hard to. Family is such an important part in our MC’s lives and the difficult relationships they have are portrayed both sensitively but incredibly truthfully too.

Bobbi and Bunty are the PERFECT Beatrice and Benedict and honestly, the specific spice in this one (no spoilers because it’s a delicious addition) is just top notch.

The Aunties return as well and they are second to NONE.

I loved it. I want to read Dating Dr Dil again (Taming of the Shrew re-imagining that is a close second to Much Ado) and then Tastes Like Shakkar again and again. If you love your romance then do me a favour and pick this up.
