Tell the Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt

3.0

While reading this for the second time, I often felt that this book wasn't really for gay people. Which is fine, not every book has to be for everyone. But I have to admit it was odd, to be gay and reading a book about the AIDs crisis, but still feeling not quite welcome. Since the grief of the book was less potent the second go around, so much of the character development and plot evoked no emotion in me other than, "yes? obviously." Well, that and sheer uncomfort as I imagined how awful Finn and Toby must have felt at all times around June and her family.

I'd love to know how other gay people feel about this book.
