Fall of a Philanderer by Carola Dunn

5.0

This is something like book 14 in a series but I didn't know that when I picked it up at a library sale. The setting is in an English seacoast tourist town in the 1920's. The family of a Scotland Yard detective is on vacation there when the wife learns of a situation that leads to murder within days of their arrival. The detective is thrust into the investigation even though he is on vacation. Like most books by English authors the language is precise and written such that you feel like you are there. I plan to read the rest of the books now.
