With so much going on ... in general right now, there's no comfort like reading a Kingfisher novel. Characters that feel absolutely real trying to cope with extreme and horrifying situations through humor and their bonds to others (people, pets, objects, places ...).

Not a scary horror novel, but such an entertaining and disturbing one.
