The Falconer (#1) by Elizabeth May @_elizabethmay

Why is there not more hype about this book? It was fantastic! Falconer follows Aileana Kameron as she ascends into her power as a Falconer. Falconers are a line of female warriors sent to kill the fairies terrorizing the human realm. This story take place in Scotland and incorporates Scottish folklore into the story. Scottish folklore is my personal favorite and Fae one of my favorite fantasy characters, so when I found this I jumped right into it. That being said, I read this book in 24 hours, lost a large amount of sleep, and immediately jumped into book two. The action in this book is spot on. The romance is angsty, raw and absolutely delicious. If you haven't read this you are missing out on an excellent fantasy story.

4 stars for me! I would easily reread this for another delicious taste and if you haven't read it (and you love fantasy) shame on you.
