Lex Martin writes such addictive sports romances! I’ve been so excited to read Billy and Roxy’s story since I finished Second Down Darling(5 stars) last year. Billy has been infatuated with his coach’s daughter Roxy for a while, but she friendzoned him and dated Mr. Wrong first. I love that Billy was one of the first people she confided in about her pregnancy and how eagerly he stepped up to support her every way he could. Even if he had some growing pains along the way. Roxy was such a strong character. I felt like so much of the pregnancy and postpartum period was well represented and will be relatable to readers who have children.

I think it says something that single dads and pregnancy trope are not traditionally favourites of mine, but I have loved both of the books I’ve read in her Varsity Dads series. Lex Martin’s writing seems to really work for me, and I know I can count on her for the angst! I want to go back and read books 1-3 in the Varsity Dads series before book 6 comes out!

Thank you to @authorlexmartin for sending me the ARC for review! All opinions are my own.
