This book has an unbelievably high rating for something that is so completely mid in every respect. If you enjoy letter-writing in general or epistolary novels specifically, this will be a disappointment to you. It has nothing to offer, not in the prose, characterization, or plot. (Don’t get me started on the empty letters to famous authors.) Reading this was a total waste of time.
