The Prison Healer by Lynette Noni

5.0

Kiva is not what you think. More than just the prison healer, she's a survivor while everyone around her with the expectation of a few thinks she is a traitor and a bootlicker. She does what she has to in order to stay alive. I love Kiva's sheer determination to keep herself and those around her alive and heal those in need.

The story starts slowly, but you're given time to understand Kiva's motivations, personality, and the gravity of the situations she is in.  By the time the story was over I went from sobbing to pure disbelief at the sheer hoodwinkery that just transpired before me.  I am foaming at the mouth to start the next novel. 10/10 would recommend it.
