Always, in December by Emily Stone

2.0

I felt frustrated for 90% of the book since I was reading a lot of words, but nothing was actually happening. I just didn’t connect with these characters or their story. I get that I was supposed to feel something, but ultimately I just didn’t care enough. There was a lot of miscommunication, a lot of eluding to something, but never actually progressing anywhere, a lot of back and forth and then a whole lot dumped in at the last minute, leaving me feeling like I missed something. The romance was not a romance. It was a meet cute, a string of incomplete run ins and incomplete sentences and then an ending that felt like it was trying really hard.
