4.25

4.25 as I've really enjoyed it and cannot wait to continue on with the series. However, I've certainly enjoyed the plot and worldbuilding of the book much more than the characterisation. I ended up feeling disconnected most of the way through even though I was invested, and none of the emotional beats delivered.

I felt like this book just rammed through emotions, making me feel less than by simply reading "He was sad".
