In Too Deep by Jude Watson

3.0

I would have loved this series as a kid because of the global adventure and intrigue, but as an adult it definitely feels like a light version of a book like Da Vinci Code. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but where some kids books are filled with heart and truth and don't feel like they are lessened because they are written for young readers, this style of book just doesn't hold up. The storyline progressed nicely, but knowing that there are dozens of other books in the series let me know going in that not much of true substance would happen here, even with the revelations about the night of their parents' murder. Recommended for kids!
