The paths of District Attorney Helen Lewis and lawyer Bo Haynes cross when Helen is arrested for the murder of her ex-husband Butch. Bo, just coming out of suspension from the murder of his wife (a murder he had no hand in), is hesitant to take the case. He lost his wife and lost the custody of his kids and is at the lowest of his life. He decides to represent Helen to get going in the right direction. As the trial gets closer, dark secrets start to come to light; an abortion, a prostitution ring, and a rape. What do all of these have in common? Did Helen actually murder Butch? Find out in Legacy of Lies.
This book is full of suspense and twists and turns. I did not want to put it down. It had me at the edge of my seat for the majority of it.
