An excellent showcase of the craft world and Gladstone. The scope of the universe has gone all vast and staggering. The banter hasn't really gotten much better and while some of the Pratchettian asides are good, some of the go on a bit. Every conflict is cosmic now. The actual fight scenes are on pure Kaiju juice these days. Feels like a second book but manages to have stakes of its own.
