Insightful, but didn’t stand the test of time for me. I put the book down for a year or two and came back to it in order to understand this voice. Here, I found Ephron someone who worked hard but felt they earned the right to go against their (upper) class status by naming things their culture doesn’t usually give voice to. I found the audiobook funny and insightful and felt seen by some topics - I, too, hate my purse and feel bad about my neck.
