In this 2010 novel, Jodi Picoult shares a story centering around a young man with Asperger's syndrome. Not only is the story well-crafted, but it provides modern readers with a good view into what life is like for some families touched by autism and its spectrum of developmental issues. While it is only a snapshot of one point on the spectrum, it is still a great way to inform our culture about this much-misunderstood issue.
