My New Year’s resolution is to start reading 1 book outside of my normal romance genre. I feel like after reading this one, I should include it as outside of my comfort zone cuz holy canoli! I mean, RK is going back to doing her usual…hiding secrets and confusing her readers so we are on our toes the entire time until we get to the answer. This one was no different, however, for some reason (IMO) this one is giving mystery/thriller than it’s giving anything else! Seriously, I was feeling a bit creeped out before I went to bed last night!
But now that I’ve finished it, I’ve started to realize I should have read this shortly after reading Rai’s story. Rai’s story had the most in detailed info on the Bratva and that is definitely needed for this trilogy so if you’re like me and forgot the ins and outs of RK’s Bratva world, I’d recommend doing a quick read thru!
I’m sure I’ll be reminded of all the things as I continue reading but, just wished it was a little more fresh in my mind and that I hadn’t read the Empire series in the middle.
