The Silent Wife
by Karin Slaughter
4.5 *
I picked this book up at the airport has I had read my other 3 and needed something for the plane home. I had no idea what this book involved except for the synopsis on the back. I have since found out that this is part of a big series (and this book is right in the middle of the series) however I never felt like I was missing info and it was a complete story.
I also mistakenly thought this was a thriller (based on the cover and synopsis) but it was definitely horror which I absolutely loved! A few times the graphic detail made me gasp - but in a good way! I loved every gory detail.
I throughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end although I will say the ending “whodunnit” was a little cliche out of left field. It did have that “oh no” factor which I enjoyed initially but after it sunk in I was little disappointed.
I will definitely read more books in this series!
