Wow... this was exactly what I was hoping for, and then so much more. I wanted something fun and exciting before jumping into my next deep read, which would have been Mistborn #3. What I got was a well-thought out and constructed sequel, with fun and excitement in spades. It had lots of great science fiction in it, without being heavy handed, and there were enough unpredictable twists and turns to keep the reader always guessing. I have a feeling that I'm not going into Mistborn #3 now; I really want to move straight into the next book in this series, The Last Colony, to see where it goes.
