NOS4A2 by Joe Hill
4.0

If I could give this 4 1/2 stars, I would. You can really see the influences of Joe Hill's dad, Stephen King, in this one. You have a haunted car (like in "Christine") and an evil kidnapper who works over decades providing a good dose of horror with the supernatural (like in "It"). I really enjoyed seriously flawed and unlikely nature of the hero/heroines - a crazy tattooed arsonist mom, a morbidly obese comic book-loving dad, and a stuttering Scrabble-playing librarian. I am looking forward to seeing how Hill's writing develops.
