I absolutely LOVED everything about the 1st book but I can’t say the same for this one. Overall a good continuation but some of the decisions felt rushed or not fleshed out enough such as

the sudden return of Lazmet and the lack of details about his captivity, and the fact that Cyra’s *real* fate had already been fulfilled, etc.

A lot of questions were also left unanswered, which could’ve been on purpose of course, but I still would’ve liked to know

what fates were so horrible for Cyra and Akos that Sifa had to switch them as infants and WHY exactly Akos can speak Shotet without never having learned, etc.

Regardless, I still enjoyed the world-building and all the characters again.
