To be honest, I had to push myself to finish this book. I knew what was coming based on the second book, and I just didn't like it. Even though everything was building to epic battles, I didn't care enough about the characters to care about their sacrifices and struggles (unlike, say, the final book of The Wheel of Time). Also, it felt like it should have been two books.
