I know very little about Norse Mythology but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's hard to like stories about fate and unavoidable destiny's because you ultimately know what happens when the terrible thing is revealed. But the way it's handled here leaves the main character not striving to change what she saw (which would've been a big turn-off) but instead influence what she didnt see. I also love a resilient queen who literally refuses to die at the hands of power crazed men/gods.
