This book was tough, not because of the vocabulary but, because you’re forced to hear out the minds of the deeply disturbed. The prose and wording of even the most disturbing inner-monologue or thoughts or backstory is stunning. The narrative is nonlinear and forces you through many families and timelines. I won’t continue expanding because i’ll never be able to stop but this was my first introduction to Toni Morrison and I WILL be reading from her again. She is a once in a lifetime author and I highly recommend picking any of her work up.
