Honestly thought I’d rate this book low. I started reading it about a year ago, got halfway, and then came back to it this week. Whilst I forgot most of the relations of many characters I quickly remembered and became fond of them again. The book is slow moving, and the language (especially coming from recently reading a lot of YA) was a big change to understand what was happening but I am so impressed by Austen’s ability to create such vivid personalities for the characters in the way that she does, through mainly dialogue and a bit of description, that I feel I know them and I found myself smiling or laughing in many humorous places. This book actually means a lot to me and made me really happy at the end, I also love Elinor, she is such a perfect character and the centre of the whole book, clearly. I can’t believe how my scepticism has turned to admiration of this book and Austen as an author in just a few days.
