The Bookish Life of Nina Hill
by Abbi Waxman
A 3.5. I started out LOVING this book and slightly annoyed how much I liked it and wish I wrote it. But as it progressed, it got choppy and seemed to merge Princess Diaries and You’ve Got Mail with strange (yet predictable) moments at the end. I’m not sure why the author had to talk about “she was so tiny” and “he was so tall” so many times. There are already a lot of great descriptors Waxman includes that I wish she left those limiting physical appearance things out.
