Heir of Novron by Michael J. Sullivan

5.0

Michael J. Sullivan and his wife Robin were recommended to me by a friend from Twitter as good potential guests for my podcast, THE RELUCTANT BOOK MARKETER. I listened to a few interviews with Michael and Robin and immediately fell in love with both their attitudes and their techniques for marketing books so I reached out to invite them to guest on my podcast.

I had about ten days to prepare from the time I learned of them and when I booked the interview so I dropped everything I was reading and plowed into the Riyria Revelations. At the time of the podcast interview I'd completed the first four books and was just starting HEIR OF NOVRON.

Both Michael and Robin said I was going to love how the story ended, and they were absolutely right. I won't spoil, but I will say, the care to detail, the way so many threads were pulled together, the inevitability, yet the utter surprise of the conclusion crushed my expectations.

Immediately, The Riyria Revelations is my new favorite fantasy series, and I can't wait to read the Chronicles and everything else Sullivan has written and will write.
