Was brought to this book via Fangirl. At first it seems to be a total Harry Potter ripoff (with a horrible name for the evil character) but kept going. It does eventually get to it's own unique and well written story. Unlike Harry Potter (which I have trouble reading due to all the child abuse that happens while everyone just stands by and watches) I found this to be a much more enjoyable read.
