Ways of Going Home by Alejandro Zambra

5.0

Less a novel than a narrative autobiography, Zambra meditates on memory, trauma, political violence in Chile, and writing, and the interrelated nature of each in his life. Some lines are quotable and will stay with me for a long time. I will reread this one because it is the kind of book that needs to be sat with for a while, demands cogitation and engagement.
