Fable for the End of the World by Ava Reid

3.75

This is a quintessential YA dystopian and is just so fun. Ava Reid never fails to write a compelling world with unique characters.
I loved the dynamic between Mel and Nesa and wished it could have gone for longer so I had more of them. I really hope this isn't the last sapphic book from Reid, because this relationship was just so tender and sweet and I need more.
This book doesn't shy away from what makes it a dystopian. From the health system, to powerful and overbearing corporations to the consumption of violence and violence against women. This is such a timely book and discusses so many important topics.
I really hope this gets a sequel, I need answers and want to explore more of this world and the future these characters are fighting for.

Thank you to Penguin Aus for the stunning arc copy of the book!
