The Woman in Me by Britney Spears

fast-paced

1.75

This was way to fast paced, way to superficial and way to referential to have any real value.

Britney doesn't really tell her story, she tells what everybody already knows and adds a few explanatory notes. There is no reflection on past events or her own part in... anything. Everything good that happens is her idea/hard work and everything that goes wrong is someone else fault/evil scheme.
Don't get me wrong - she was treated horrifically - but life is never as black and white as Britney will have us believe.
I think Britney should have waited a couple of years to get on her feet and get son distance/ perspective before even starting a book like this - unlike this, that could have been an interesting read!
