this is a fun almost campy narrative about the beauty industry & standards, the length people will go to feel included & part of the “in” crowd. i really love the insane names of all the treatments. i felt for the main character and how she was exploited during this story and her background & personal life were a good juxtaposition to the story. it’s like goop gone extra evil. 

however, the pacing of this story was a bit off and repetitive. it was a lot of the same until the last ~75ish pages where the story really speeds up & comes to a quick close. but a decent & quick read
