East to the Dawn: The Life of Amelia Earhart by Susan Butler

Did not finish book.

I got this book almost 2 years ago when I visited the Amelia Earhart birthplace museum in Atchison, KS. I was so looking forward to reading it, since she lived such an interesting life. However, I cannot get past the labored prose; it is difficult to believe that the author was a journalist, because she cannot tell this story in a straightforward and succinct manner. Every chapter is convoluted, and many passages are downright painful to read.
