Think Again
by Jacqueline Wilson
lighthearted
slow-paced
Loveable characters:
No
This felt like a book written for and about teens, that the author had suddenly decided to switch to adult, just throwing in jobs and references to being "middle-aged" and not actually aging the characters up at all in terms of maturity. The teacher was creepy and Ellie seemed to know this but still carried on mooning over him. Nadine got sexually assaulter and Nellie's response was to slut shame her so-called best friend in the world. The end romance had no build-up or development. The only good thing I can say is that I raced through it because it lacked substance.
Graphic: Sexual assault, Sexual content
Moderate: Alcohol
