This was a little bit more of what I expected from an Anne adventure - a beautiful community with a stunning natural environment, and unique characters from a range of backgrounds. I unfortunately did find myself still feeling isolated from Anne's perspective and emotions, and wanted deeper connection to her. She becomes a wife, a mother, loses her first child, and is blessed with a second - and we don't really get to walk through that journey with her, understanding how she is feeling and changing at her core. I really wished for more introspective time spent with Anne and less time skimming pages of community gossip.
