This is based on “The Assassins Blade” book which has all 5 prequels in it. There is debate as to where this lies in the series. It is a prequel collection (I didn’t realize this at first). I started to read TOG and decided to come here first and personally it was the right choice for me. There is backstory and a significant relationship that are highlighted and without this one you don’t feel the full feel of it. And SJM fans usually live for the feels she brings to the table.
