This was a solid police procedural and character study. It’s a slow burn with a heavy focus on character development, which added some nice depth to the story. The eerie atmosphere was really well done — the whole “whispering outside the window” element definitely added a creepy edge. That said, the ending felt a little anticlimactic after all the buildup, but overall it’s a decent read if you’re in the mood for something moody and unsettling.
Graphic: Child death
