Audre Lord is clearly an incredibly talented writer and smart human, but this collection did her a bit of a disservice by grouping SO much of her writing together - at least the way I read it, all in one go. It feels more like a text book one should slowly visit or revisit in pieces. If it was meant to be read together, I wish the poetry was interspersed throughout vs. all clumped at the end, which was overwhelming.
