I can't believe I'm saying this about a Tessa Bailey story because I adore her writing, but I HATED this book.

Ben is a walking red flag, and Honey is relentlessly naive, going back to him time and again after her hurts her repeatedly and messes up at every turn. This wasn't a romance - it was a drama. And it got tiring quickly. I think he messed up and upset her about 5 times across this book, and every time she would get mad at him, say the right things about how she could never forgive him, then get back together every couple of chapters.

I would rant to the ends of the earth about what a horrible character Ben was. He's like the character in a romance that the girl is supposed to break up with once she finds the one and realises how terribly he treated her - except he IS the one. This man should've been kicked to the curb and left in the gutter.

The fact I even finished this book at all was mainly fueled with pure rage, and the fact it's really short. Tessa's writing was still great - I felt like I was flying through the pages. I just hated everything that was happening on them.
