I’m here for a good time not a long time.
This book was delightfully unhinged. A solid 3.5⭐️ that gets the goodreads round up. To start, this is VERY dark, so read your CW if needed. This was my third read for the Never After Series, better than Hooked but not as good as Scarred in my opinion. I liked that we get a dark FMC who corrupts our MMC, instead of the usual dark MMC.
Evie is chaos incarnate, with a rose gold gun and attitude to match, she does some very questionable sh*t. Our good boy MMC Nick just wants justice and the drugs/mobsters off the streets. But sometimes wickedness is oh too sweet and Nick finds himself in quite a tight spot (both metaphorically and otherwise 😶🌫️). What ensues is a delicious and spicy story that gives us a mafia/mob storyline with a lot of sexual tension and romance.
Like all of the Never After Series I’ve read so far these are shorter and perfect for satisfying that dark romance itch in a delicious way. Is it the most amazing story/writing of all time? No. Will I gladly devour any book Emily wants to write? Yes.
