The Girl With No Reflection by Keshe Chow

3.0

2.5 stars

This book had a fascinating premise, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to its potential. The world-building was strong, especially the lore of the mirror world and reflection beings. However, the plot was marred by cliches, predictable twists, and poorly developed characters. The female lead was frustrating to read, with her constant naivety and reckless decisions. The male lead felt like a placeholder, and the romance was lackluster. The mystery started strong but lost momentum, with obvious villains and convenient solutions. While the book had some beautiful elements, like the contrast between the Eastern empire and the mirror universe, the execution fell flat. Overall, it was a frustrating read despite its promising start.
