This graphic novel takes place in the future(?) dystopian world of an underground prison society.  It focuses on two parallel story lines and I couldn't get enough of the women's love for each other.  They have a familial bond, but it's defined vaguely, left to interpretation. Quite a lot is left to interpretation, allowing you to come up with your own conclusions about this world.
