I genuinely believe this book would be better if it were aged up and a bit longer. I was expecting light-hearted plots but the “Dead world” was very complex to visualize. I was not anticipating that sort of world building (interesting visuals) so I sorta felt lost. The descriptions made me think of the matrix. I also wish we got more background on how Jake discovered he was a medium/found the medium community, and more of his families reaction to it. Overall it was a fine book but definitely not a fave for me
