Lord of Eternal Night by Ben Alderson

Okay, this was SUCH an interesting take on Beauty and the Beast! I loved the vampire origin story embedded within, especially since it was classic vampirism with aversion to daylight, wooden stakes, and coffins.
Jak and Marius worked so well against each other. There was a constant undertone of aggression and hesitancy since both had turbulent pasts. The slow burn as they succumbed to their passion was straight fire!
I liked how Jak was the perfect foil to Marius’ vampire and trusted in himself and his powers. His mission and relationship with his mother was aggravating, but I loved his witchy ways.
Ben had mentioned several times leading up to release that this book was going to be SPICY, and he most definitely wasn’t lying! This MLM book is a great representation of LGBTQ love, and the spice reflects that. My favorite thing about this read was how neither Jak or Marius had to “come out” or confess their sexuality.
